Tell us about yourself.
Hi! My name is Macy, and I am a Mini Goldendoodle, which means I am half Poodle and half Golden Retriever. I am 6 years old, and I love following my people around the house and “helping” them with whatever they do! I especially love to “help” in the kitchen! No need for a Roomba when I’m around. I will gladly clean-up the slightest crumbs that happen to get dropped on the floor.
Where are you from?
I don’t remember much about it, but apparently, I was born in central Nebraska near the village of Scotia on a farm with all of my little brothers and sisters!
Tell us about when you first met your family.
One day when I was about two months old, I got in the car and was going somewhere. It was exciting. In fact, I was so excited that I fell asleep. Suddenly, we stopped and when I hopped out of the car I looked up and see these 4 giant humans towering over me! But I wasn’t scared, I ran to them excited to meet new friends!
It didn’t take me long to realize how much these people love and care for me. I became braver and explored around my new home and after a few weeks of being there, I realized, these people are my people, my new family! And I have never looked back since.
What do you do for fun?
I have a basket full of fun squeaky toys! At least once a day, usually in the evenings when everyone else wants to relax, I’ll stand by my basket and whine until someone picks up on the hint that I’m ready to play. My favorite game is “keep away” where someone throws the toy and I pick it up and run around to avoid giving the toy back. I win every time!
I love to bark at things I see outside of the window! Birds, squirrels, people, other dogs, you name it. It’s my favorite! Sometimes I just bark to bark, there is really no reason I need to bark, it’s just so fun! My people say to stop, but I just keep barking.
I also love to nap! I will nap almost anywhere, on the tile, on my pet couch, on the human couch, anywhere I want to!
What are your human-like traits?
Well, I’m obviously a pretty cool dog.
I also like to keep up on what’s happening in the news and read up on the markets.
Sometimes, I will try to talk, but it always comes out as a weird bark instead. I love to greet each and every visitor that comes to our door. It’s so exciting when someone comes to see me!!
I also love to eat human food and I’m happy to eat anything that you might not want. I’m more than happy to help you clean your plate. Popcorn is my absolute favorite!
