Questions and Answers with Julie Sellers
Where are you originally from?
I was raised in Lincoln, NE. After high school, I attended the University of Nebraska – Lincoln and graduated with a degree in business management.
Tell us about your family:
I have two children, one in college and the other in high school. We have a Mini Goldendoodle named Penny.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I enjoy spending time with my family and going to my children’s activities. I like to meet with friends for dinner on the weekends and always look forward to planning the next vacation.
What is your favorite movie or TV show?
My favorite tv show is “Friends.” I love watching the reruns.
What has been your favorite and/or most memorable vacation?
Traveling to Curacao on our last cruise has been my favorite vacation because of the beauty of the ocean. The turquoise blue ocean is something I will never forget. My most memorable vacation was when I was lost at sea on a family vacation as a child, you can ask me about it when we meet.
How did you become interested in the investment/financial planning profession?
I started investing a small amount each month at a young age. That started my interest in the stock market and long-term savings. I have been in the financial industry for many years and love getting to know the clients and helping them achieve their goal.
If you could do anything else for a living what would it be?
Work in a NICU. My son was a NICU patient for weeks and I have a great appreciation for all the support they give families.
