Two services.
One relationship.
Investment Management & Financial Planning – Our two primary service offerings work best together. For our investment management clients, financial planning is complimentary.
Investment Management
Simple, transparent portfolios built with patience, discipline, and a long-term perspective. Your assets are held at Charles Schwab, an independent third-party custodian, and we invest our own money using the same strategies we use for our clients.

Financial Planning
Your financial life has a lot of moving pieces. A plan connects them, from withdrawal strategy, Social Security timing, and charitable giving, to the goals and priorities that tie it all together.

Get as much work out of us as you can.
Our investment management and financial planning clients gain access to an array of complimentary services. We encourage our clients to get as much work out of us as they can.
Medicare reviews and enrollment assistance
Our two State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) counselors can review your current Medicare coverage for potential savings, or help you enroll around your 65th birthday.
Reviews of accounts held away from P&A
We’ll make sure your 401(k), 403(b), SIMPLE IRA, SEP-IRA, HSA, and 529 accounts are properly allocated for your time horizon, comfort with risk, and goals.
Donor-advised funds
We can help you establish a DAF, which is a charitable checkbook with tax advantages that lets your charitable dollars go further, especially with a bunching strategy.
IRMAA navigation
We help you understand the impact of IRMAA on your Medicare premiums and when it might be beneficial to pursue an appeal.
Qualified Charitable Distributions
If you’re over 70.5, you can donate from your IRA directly to charity, up to the annual IRS limit. QCDs count toward your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD), which makes them valuable tax planning tools.
Insurance and annuity reviews
Our licensed Insurance Consultant can review your existing policies and help you understand the total fees you’re paying.
RMD tracking
IRS rules around required distributions have changed in recent years. We keep on top of them for you to help you avoid costly penalties.
Next-generation meetings
To help family assets, and the values behind them, transition smoothly, we can customize educational sessions for your next generation.
Social Security analysis
When to file is a complex decision. We help you understand your options and clear up common misperceptions.
Collaboration with your accountant and estate attorney
The synergies gained from those meetings benefit everyone involved.
